On November 12 and 13 the St. Eustatius Public Library hostedthe exhibition of a young Haitian painter, sculpture, and digital artist residing in the Netherlands, Frederick Calmes. The exhibition consists of twelve artworks created for the family heritage project “Remember Statia: Tracing Our Origins” organized by the Bigi Bon foundation and the St. Eustatius Afrikan Burial Ground Alliance from April to October 2024.

AMSTERDAM — On Sunday October 13, Afrocentric media platform in the Netherlands, AFRO Magazine will launch a special print edition with articles by people from the Caribbean island of St. Eustatius, relating to the island’s slavery past.
